YOUR PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
LAST UPDATED: AUGUST 30, 2026
NHHANCD Society respects your privacy. This Policy describes what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used, stored, protected, retained, and deleted — including through our secure QuickBooks Online accounting integration.
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how NHHANCD Society (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, protects, retains, and deletes information when you visit nhhancdsociety.com, create an account, reserve an appointment, make a purchase, or otherwise interact with our Services. NHHANCD Society is a makeup artistry and education studio based in Fishtown, Philadelphia.
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your bookings and purchases, and limited technical information, including:
- Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and password when you create a Society account.
- Booking information — the services you reserve, appointment dates and times, add-ons, notes, allergies or skin conditions you choose to share, policy responses, and any inspiration photo you upload.
- Payment and transaction information — the amounts you pay, deposit and balance details, order and gift-card records, and confirmation identifiers. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processor, Stripe, and are not stored on our servers.
- Communications — messages you send through our contact or inquiry forms and your email or newsletter preferences.
- Technical information — basic device, browser, and usage information collected automatically to keep the website secure and functioning.
Why We Collect It & How We Use It
We use your information only for legitimate business purposes, including to:
- Process and confirm your bookings, payments, deposits, orders, and gift-card purchases.
- Send appointment confirmations, reminders, reschedule and cancellation notices, and follow-up messages.
- Maintain accurate financial and accounting records for the business.
- Provide customer support, respond to inquiries, and personalize your experience.
- Protect the security and integrity of the Services and comply with legal obligations.
Payment Processing
All payments, deposits, and invoices are processed securely by Stripe. When you make a payment, your card details are transmitted directly to Stripe under their security standards. We receive confirmation and limited transaction details — such as the amount, date, and status — but not your full card number or security code.
QuickBooks Online Accounting Integration
To keep accurate books, NHHANCD Society uses an integration with Intuit’s QuickBooks Online. When enabled, the integration allows the business to record completed transactions in its accounting software. The information processed through this integration may include customer details (such as name and email), transaction and payment amounts, invoice or sales-receipt records, dates, and related accounting entries for paid bookings, product orders, and gift-card purchases.
This information is used solely to maintain the studio’s financial records — for example, to reconcile income, generate receipts, and prepare accounting reports. It is not used for advertising and is not sold.
The integration is authorized by the business owner using QuickBooks’ secure OAuth authorization process. The owner may connect or disconnect the integration at any time; disconnecting revokes the authorization so that no further information is shared with QuickBooks. For security, connection credentials and access tokens are stored securely and are never displayed publicly or exposed on the website.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate the business, and only to the extent necessary to provide their service. These include:
- Stripe — to process payments, deposits, and invoices.
- Intuit / QuickBooks — to record transaction, payment, invoice, and accounting information for completed sales, as described above.
- Email and hosting providers — to deliver confirmations and notifications and to host the website securely.
How We Store & Protect Information
Your information is stored in secured, access-controlled systems. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit, restricted administrative access, and secure credential storage — to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and thereafter as required to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Financial and transaction records may be retained for the period required by applicable law. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
Your Rights & Data Deletion
You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law. Please note that we may need to retain certain records — such as completed financial transactions — to comply with legal and accounting requirements even after an account is closed.
Cookies & Analytics
The website uses essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and keep the site secure. We may use limited, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the website is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
