Terms of Service
LAST UPDATED: AUGUST 30, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service and End-User License Agreement carefully. They set out the terms on which NHHANCD Society offers its website, bookings, education, products, and related services.
Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service, together with this End-User License Agreement (collectively, the “Terms”), govern your access to and use of the NHHANCD Society website at nhhancdsociety.com and all related pages, bookings, purchases, and services (the “Services”). NHHANCD Society is a makeup artistry, bridal beauty, and artistry-education studio based in Fishtown, Philadelphia.
By accessing the website, creating an account, reserving an appointment, or completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
The Services We Offer
Through this website you may reserve makeup artistry appointments (“edits”) within The Society Collection and The Bridal Society, enroll in Academy education and 1:1 mentorship, purchase physical products, digital guides, and gift cards, and apply to The Gallery Registry.
Descriptions, pricing, durations, and availability are provided for your convenience and may be updated from time to time. We reserve the right to modify, add, or discontinue any offering.
Accounts & Your Responsibilities
Certain features require a Society account. You agree to provide accurate, current information, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to book services or make purchases. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
Reservations & Bookings
Appointments are reserved online by selecting a service, choosing an available date and time, completing the required booking policies, and submitting the applicable deposit or payment. A reservation is confirmed only once payment has been received and processed.
You are responsible for arriving prepared and on time, for providing accurate information about allergies, skin conditions, and preferences where requested, and for reviewing any add-ons or policy responses submitted with your booking.
Payments & Deposits
Payments, deposits, and invoices are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. NHHANCD Society does not store your full card number or card security details on its own servers.
Deposits reserve your appointment time and are applied toward your service total. Unless stated otherwise for a specific offering, deposits are non-refundable. Any remaining balance is due as described for your selected service.
Cancellations, Rescheduling & Late Arrivals
Cancellations and reschedules must be requested at least 48 hours before your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable but, at our discretion, may be applied to one rescheduled appointment within 30 days.
Late arrivals may incur a fee: a $15 fee at the 10-minute mark past the grace period, a $25 fee from 10 to 15 minutes past the grace period, and automatic cancellation with forfeiture of the deposit beyond 15 minutes. Additional booking-specific policies presented at checkout also apply.
Products, Digital Goods & Gift Cards
Physical products are subject to availability. Digital guides and e-books are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use and are delivered electronically; because of their nature, digital purchases are generally non-refundable once accessed.
Gift cards are issued for the stated value, may not be redeemed for cash except where required by law, and are subject to any terms shown at the time of purchase.
Education & Academy
Academy courses, masterclasses, and 1:1 mentorship are provided for educational purposes. Results vary by individual and are not guaranteed. Course materials, guides, and content shared during instruction are the intellectual property of NHHANCD Society and may not be reproduced, resold, or distributed without written permission.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including the NHHANCD Society name, logos, text, photography, graphics, course materials, and design — is owned by or licensed to NHHANCD Society and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.
Prohibited Use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe the rights of others.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, or make bookings or purchases you do not intend to honor.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data, or to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the website.
- Copy, scrape, or misuse our content, imagery, or course materials, or introduce malware or harmful code.
Third-Party Services & Integrations
The Services rely on trusted third-party providers, including Stripe for payment processing and Intuit / QuickBooks Online for accounting. When you complete a paid booking, order, or gift-card purchase, relevant transaction details may be recorded in our accounting system to maintain accurate financial records.
Your use of features powered by these providers may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services beyond our integration with them, which is described further in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Makeup and skincare services carry inherent risks; you are responsible for disclosing allergies, sensitivities, and skin conditions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NHHANCD Society and its founder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a service or purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for that specific service or purchase.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NHHANCD Society, its founder, and its representatives from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
